This yearly event, puts riders to the test, in what is Australia’s Ultimate Reliability Trial.
It was held on the 9th & 10th July starting at Eudunda – South Australia.
Its the second year that Swann Insurance have supported the 24hr, and we are thrilled to have them aboard.
We have our long standing Paradise Mazda and Simpson Crash aboard again as a Silver Sponsors and Bills Motorcycles and Kawasaki Australia last year a section sponsors, have upped the ante and supported us this year as Silver Sponsors. Welcome back Yamaha, contined support from Coates Hire, and a special welcome to our new Silver Sponsors in B&B Off Road Engineering , GS Moto, Barkbusters, Micks Motorcycles. We are greatful to them all.
We encourage everyone to support all of our sponsors both big and small and to tell them you appreciate thier support of the 24hr.
The event starts with the first rider leaving from the Eudunda Oval at 11:00am on the 9th of July and if all went well the first riders will return again at 11:00am on the 10th of July. We expect nearly 200 riders will enter so this will be a very busy year.
The course is quite hard on both bike and rider, and there is usually an attrition rate of at least 50%.
In the last couple years the Interstate & Overseas riders have found out what a great event we were hiding (one of our Hidden Treasures) and the competition has really opened up.
The event could not be run without massive support from many clubs, organisations and indviduals. We have dedicated a special Acknowledgements Page to thank them all.
As well as the rugged men & women who ride the event, this has been and always will be as much a fun weekend for the spectators, as they watch their favourites from some of the best, most beautiful scenery in South Australia. We do ask spectators and all who attend to respect the land owners property, and to take your rubbish away with you please, and also to drive carefully. THANK YOU!
