About the 24hr at Kapunda

The event is held Annually on the second weekend of July and it rotates the starting point between Eudunda and Kapunda each year.

This year we are returning to the traditional home of the 24 at Kapunda – South Australia. The event date for this year is on the weekend of the 14th & 15th of July.

The trial starts with the first rider leaving from the Kapunda Harness Racing Club Complex on Hancock Rd at 11:00am on the 14th of July, and if all went well the first riders will return again at 11:00am on the 15th of July.

The course is quite hard on both bike and rider, and there is usually an attrition rate of at least 50%. Last years trial turned out to be one of the toughest held in recent years due to the weather conditions experienced over the weekend.

The trial could not be run without massive support from many clubs, organisations and individuals.

As well as the rugged men & women who ride the event, this has been and always will be as much a fun weekend for the spectators, as they watch their favourites from some of the best, most beautiful scenery in South Australia. We do ask spectators and all who attend to respect the land owners property, and to take your rubbish away with you please, to not camp on private property without permission and also to drive or ride carefully on the roads and NOT in any properties. THANK YOU!
